Being in another country, with all the hardships that can entail, can be made more complicated if certain conveniences such as communication or exchanging money, aren’t accessible. With this in mind, and to make our students’ stay easier, we offer the following services during your course:
Business Center
Wireless Internet, computer, printer and fax are available to students at no additional charge. Printing is limited.
Currency Exchange
Two times per week, Austral Idiomas makes it easier for students to exchange money. This service is free of commission fees or any other charges, and is meant to guarantee that students receive fair rates and avoid counterfeit bills. Unfortunately this is a common crime in Argentina. Transactions require between 12 and 24 hours.
Note: exchange a small amount in the airport, just enough for your first few expenses. Rates are better in the city center.
Mail
Students can receive or send personal mail using the school’s mailing address. This way, in case something arrives after your stay, we promise to forward your mail.
Cafeteria
Mineral water, coffee, milk and tea are available to students, free of charge.
Arrival and departure transfer
By paying an extra fee (see Price list and Start dates) we can meet and take students from the airport to their accommodation, or vice-versa. Arrival time is no problem, as long as we are notified at least 72 hours beforehand. Arrival transfer includes 1 hour of waiting in the airport, in case of possible delays. The amount charged by the school is less than a taxi.
Note: only take registered taxis, with desks inside the airport.
SIM cards for GSM cell phones
We lend Argentinean SIM cards at no additional cost, in order to make it easier for students to get in touch with their family and friends. Important: the cell phone must be GSM enabled and unlocked. The SIM card is on loan, therefore it must be returned. In case of loss, theft or damage, the student promises to return a new SIM card to the school.
