In addition to the regular language programs, Austral Idiomas also provides students with the opportunity to complement their language studies with Volunteer & Internship programs. This allows for more extensive exposure to culture and language in Argentina. Placement for either volunteer work or an internship ultimately depends on the students’ interests and the availability of suitable options during their stay. Some paid internships are also available.

Summer Medical Internship
(11 July – 7 August), Buenos Aires, Argentina

Austral Idiomas, in partnership with selected hospitals in Buenos Aires.

During this internship, students see diseases treated in the real life practice of medicine in Latin America, and the reality of Latin American medical care, by accompanying doctors to their clinics and hospitals. The program includes seminars, language training, supervised research and field excursions that have been developed jointly by Austral Idiomas and the local health ministry. The time spent in the hospitals will purely be for observation; students will not be participating in any medical procedures.
